She also presented a  study  she made jointly with her husband,  on " Spatial Impact of Overseas Filipino Workers Remittances on the Philippine Economy: A Comparable General Equilibrium Approach which was well lauded. [Thanks to Francis for sharing this photo with me.  She was probably sick already, but her cancer was not diagnosed until November of 2009. ]

One of Telly's major interest among others is to undertake regular studies  and research where the application of Input and Output Data and Analysis is applied and to promote the integration and use of input-output applications and techniques in other scientific disciplines. .   "The International Input-Output Association (IIOA) is a scientific non-profit membership organisation founded in 1988. Its objective is the advancement of knowledge in the field of input-output analysis, including improve- ments in basic data, theoretical insights and modelling, and applications, both traditional and novel, of input-output techniques. The IIOA grew out of an informal world-wide network of economists, government officials, engineers and managers with interests in input-output analysis."

Here is the schedule of the Parallel Session, Telly Chaired on the second day of the conference on Rural and Development Issues, July 14, 2009.

About Me

My photo
I am, Angel (Luli) as fondly called by Telly. Telly was my childhood classmate and friend. We spent 12 years of our formative childhood and adolescent High School years at St. Theresa's College, Manila. I am awed and blessed to meet her true friends and loved ones. As we read more and more from what they share, we come to know more about her and the legacy of her contributions to society including her hopes and aspirations for economic development. Those who truly know Telly will appreciate the kind of work and many accomplishments she did. Her husband, Francis, on the Eulogy night for Telly, set aside unselfishly the focus on self (as a grieving husband for the loss of a wife). Instead he talked about how the death of Telly was a loss to the Intellect and Society at large. The impact of the loss is felt even in the international community. I invite you to write your tribute, share your sentiments/feelings for Telly and send any related post about her-- pictures, articles are welcome. ( Email address: forloveoftelly@gmail.com). I will make sure they are posted here for all of us to draw inspiration.
