Lovely Telly

How can I say goodbye to a friend whose hearty laughter and loveliness have become part of my most precious memories? I wish I could relive our carefree high school days  and that sunny afternoon in your hospital room the last time I saw you. You're such a beautiful person Telly. You're an inspiration. You touched my life in many ways you may not have realized. Your friendship your sincerity your wit and your courage are all so uplifting. You dared. You challenged. You fought well. You conquered. And you championed your cause for you are now soaring under the wings of God. You will always be fondly remembered. One day my friend we will meet again never to part ways.  Meantime I will see you among the stars and in every ray of sunshine. Sleep well Telly.
My condolences to Francis and Ega. I share your pain and your lost. Be strong. God bless you both.

I am, Angel (Luli) as fondly called by Telly. Telly was my childhood classmate and friend. We spent 12 years of our formative childhood and adolescent High School years at St. Theresa's College, Manila. I am awed and blessed to meet her true friends and loved ones. As we read more and more from what they share, we come to know more about her and the legacy of her contributions to society including her hopes and aspirations for economic development. Those who truly know Telly will appreciate the kind of work and many accomplishments she did. Her husband, Francis, on the Eulogy night for Telly, set aside unselfishly the focus on self (as a grieving husband for the loss of a wife). Instead he talked about how the death of Telly was a loss to the Intellect and Society at large. The impact of the loss is felt even in the international community.
